We act to improve global public health through innovative vaccine development. By focusing on diseases with significant unmet medical needs and partnering with key public health organizations, Valneva works to ensure that life-saving vaccines are developed, made accessible to underserved populations, and maintained to the highest levels of safety and quality. 2 of our 3 commercial products are recognized as essential medicine by the World Health Organization, highlighting its critical importance in public health.

1. 1. Research & Development for Unmet Medical Needs
      At Valneva, we focus our R&D on diseases with high unmet medical needs and significant global health risks. Our licensed vaccines and our pipeline of candidates are designed to address pathogens recognized as priority threats, including chikungunya, Lyme disease, and Shigella.
   2. Universal & Affordable Access
      Valneva is actively working to expand access to our vaccines in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), using pricing strategies, policy frameworks, and partnerships to reduce barriers and ensure that communities with the highest need are not left behind. We strive to maintain pricing that is consistent, fair, and aligned with both regulatory requirements and the realities of healthcare delivery in LMICs.
   3. Vaccine Safety
      From early-stage clinical research to real-world post-marketing surveillance, Valneva follows the highest standards of vaccine safety. Our work is governed by a dedicated Pharmacovigilance and Medical Information Policy, which defines rigorous standards for monitoring of adverse events and transparent communication with healthcare professionals and organizations.

We recognize the importance of reducing the ways in which our business contributes to climate change and prioritizing the use of renewable, recyclable, and reusable resources. By embedding sustainability into our culture and strategy, Valneva seeks to address climate risks.

1. 1. Transition to a Lower Carbon Business Model
      In 2025, we reduced our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 48% (market-based approach) compared to 2022, advancing towards our 2030 target of reducing emissions by 50Currently, we aim to actively manage our environmental footprint, for example by prioritizing the use of electricity from renewable sources across manufacturing and R&D sites, and assessing measures to reduce emissions from the value chain.
   2. Reducing our Environmental Impact
      We strive to reduce waste and use resources responsibly across our operations. By improving our understanding of the environmental impacts of our processes, we can make more informed choices throughout the product lifecycle.
   3. Product Stewardship
      At Valneva, we are working to integrate environmental considerations into every step of the vaccine lifecycle. This includes reducing packaging waste, selecting more sustainable and recyclable materials, and designing products with their end-of-life impact in mind. To deepen our understanding and improve performance, we track key environmental attributes of each product.

In 2025, on average each employee completed 50 hours of training.

In 2025, we scored 96/100, placing the Company among the best performing French companies when it comes to Gender Equality.

We are firmly committed to human rights, and ethical research is central to our mission and our activities, including clinical trials management. We prioritize patient safety and scientific rigor across all clinical trials sponsored or conducted by Valneva across all stages of clinical development.
