Saint-Herblain (France), 6 août 2020 Valneva SE (“Valneva”), société spécialisée dans les vaccins contre des maladies générant d’importants besoins médicaux, a annoncé aujourd’hui la nomination de Juan Carlos Jaramillo, MD, comme Directeur Médical et membre du directoire de Valneva à compter du 1st Octobre 2020. Juan Carlos succèdera à Wolfgang Bender, MD, PhD, qui prendra sa retraite fin octobre 2020, après une période de transition.
Le Dr. Juan Carlos Jaramillo possède une très grande expérience internationale ainsi qu’une forte expertise en matière d’affaires médicales et de développement clinique, qui inclut les vaccins ainsi que l’accès aux marchés mondiaux. Grâce à une expérience diversifiée dans le secteur pharmaceutique, le Dr Jaramillo a une connaissance approfondie du monde des affaires et a connu de nombreuses réussites dans différents contextes, domaines thérapeutiques et régions géographiques. Il a travaillé pour différentes sociétés pharmaceutiques et de biotechnologie dont GlaxoSmithKline, Grünenthal et Daiichi Sankyo. Juan Carlos est né en Colombie, a grandi et fait ses études aux Etats-Unis, et possède la citoyenneté américaine.
