Chikungunya – VLA1553

Chikungunya is a mosquito-borne viral infection spreading in the Americas and Europe caused by the chikungunya virus (CHIKV), a Togaviridae virus transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. VLA1553 is a live-attenuated, single dose vaccine candidate targeting the chikungunya virus.

Valneva´s vaccine candidate VLA15, under Fast Track Designation by the FDA, is a multivalent vaccine that targets the outer surface protein A (OspA) of Borrelia.
